This 18kt rose gold ring carries a rhodolite of around 3 ct, accompanied by a pink spinel of 0.50 ct, in size 54. Rhodolite is a garnet, a blend of pyrope and almandine, and its colour sits between raspberry and Bordeaux. It is lighter and pinker than the dark red garnet most people picture. Like all garnets, it is neither heated nor irradiated. Rose gold picks up the pink in the stone instead of letting it tip towards yellow. Handmade in Munich. €3,400, a one-of-a-kind piece.
