The Georgia necklace brings together 18kt white gold and 18kt rose gold in one piece, set around a morganite. Morganite is the pink variety of beryl, related to emerald and aquamarine, and was named in 1911 after the collector J. P. Morgan. The two colours are a deliberate choice here: rose gold picks up the warm tone of the stone, white gold sets a cool counterpoint. Handmade in Munich. €5,300, a one-of-a-kind piece.
Soft. Sensual. Full of character.

Frequently asked questions
What is morganite?
The pink variety of the mineral beryl. Manganese in the crystal produces tones from delicate peach to strong pink. With a Mohs hardness of 7.5 to 8, the stone is suitable for everyday wear.
Why two gold colours in one piece?
Rose gold contains more copper and runs warm, white gold stays cool. Set side by side, they bring out the pink of the morganite more strongly than a single gold colour could.
Is a two-tone necklace harder to make?
Yes. Two alloys have different melting points and behave differently during soldering. The transitions have to be right before polishing, because they can hardly be corrected afterwards.
